Volunteerism Programs

At Arconic and Arconic Foundation, teamwork is critical for success. This spirit of inclusion is reflected in the two team-based employee volunteer programs that Arconic Foundation manages:

ACTION:

This program supports the efforts of employees who volunteer together on service projects that directly address community needs.  Arconic teams contribute time, energy, and skills to vital community projects, and the Arconic Foundation supports their efforts with significant matching grants to help the local benefiting nonprofit organization.  Arconic's community service projects are as diverse as the locations in which we operate and our talented employee base.  And, they are inspiring proof that when we work together, we multiply our impact.

  • Evron, France : Howmet Ciral employees in Evron worked with other community members on the reconstruction of the beloved, nationally registered Historic Monument--the Grande Courbe Castle in Bree.
  • Philadelphia, PA, United States : :  Arconic employees, in partnership with the Philadelphia Athletic Recreation Center with AEC Cares and Community Design Collaborative, helped renovate the Philadelphia Athletic Recreation Center.  The Center is used by hundreds of underserved children in the neighborhood for after-school and sports programs.

AIM:

This program helps Arconic employees get fit and raise money for the charities they care about. Some of the most popular ways to donate time – and boost wellness – are marathons, walkathons, bike rides, and other fitness events.  The program is structured to include the friends and family members of our employees, too.

  • Bestwig, Germany : Arconic employees in Bestwig, including the plant apprentices, bowled their way to a $2,500 grant for a nearby kindergarten. The school used the funds to purchase gear that makes excursions safe for the young children.
  • Exeter, United Kingdom : Howmet Exeter employees are proud supporters of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, which they support by participating in the annual Charity Golf Day.
