Vice President, Internal Audit
Bruce E. Thompson is Vice President of Internal Audit for Arconic and an Officer of Arconic. In this role, he is responsible for Arconic's worldwide audit activities in the areas of Financial & Business Processes and Information Technology as well as Environmental, Health & Safety audit reporting.
Bruce joined Alcoa in 2011 as Director, Business Analysis and Planning and in 2014 was named Vice President, Business Analysis and Planning. In this position, Bruce oversaw Alcoa's financial planning and analysis area, identifying and implementing improvements in business processes, systems and results. He was elected to his current role in September 2015.
Earlier in his career, Bruce held executive positions with Johnson Controls, VITEC, LLC, and Ford Motor Company overseeing broad financial functions. He also has held leadership roles in marketing, sales, strategic planning and plant management.
Bruce holds an MBA from Stanford, an MPA from Princeton and a BA in Economics from Howard University, Washington, D.C. He serves as Board Chairman of the National Black MBA Association and National Steering Committee Chairman of the Arconic African Heritage Network employee resource group.
