Executive Vice President and Group President, Arconic Global Rolled Products and Transportation and Construction Solutions
Tim Myers is Group President, Global Rolled Products (GRP) and Transportation and Construction Solutions (TCS), responsible for leading two of the Company’s three business groups. Tim is also a member of the Arconic Executive Leadership Team, the leadership team that sets strategic direction for the company.
As leader of GRP, Tim is responsible for Arconic’s approximately $5 billion business that offers aluminum sheet and plate products primarily for the automotive, commercial transportation and aerospace markets. GRP has manufacturing and commercial sites in North American, Western Europe, Asia, and Russia.
For TCS, Tim has oversight of two Arconic business units: Arconic Wheel and Transportation Products and Building and Construction Systems, both leaders in innovating aluminum solutions in their respective markets. Transportation and Construction Solutions operates businesses throughout North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
Tim was previously President of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products, a business that leads the market for forged aluminum wheels and other structures that serve the commercial transportation industry, with operations in North America, Europe, China, South Africa, Australia and Japan. Prior to this assignment, Tim was Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Vehicle Wheels for the Alcoa Wheel Products business, in which capacity he oversaw global Alcoa truck wheel plants as well as sub-assembly and logistics sites in the U.S. and Canada.
Tim joined the Company in 1991 as an automotive applications engineer in the Commercial Rolled Products Division, based in Southfield, Michigan. He transitioned into marketing assignment for the Company’s Mill Products business in Chicago and Forged Products in Detroit, selling primarily to U.S. automakers. In 1998, he became Sales and Marketing Manager for the Company’s OEM and aftermarket wheel business, progressing to Director, Commercial Operations, and then General Manager of Alcoa’s Forged Automotive and Specialty Wheels business, which makes wheels for trailers, RVs, motorcycles, pickups and SUVs. Prior to joining Arconic, Tim was a product design engineer for Ford Motor Company.
Tim holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.
