The Minnesota Vikings are running, snapping and tackling on their new home field – the U.S. Bank Stadium. Shaped like the Viking ships that inspired the team name, the stadium features 200,000 square feet (18,580 square meters) of Kawneer curtain wall and entrances. One of just 32 NFL stadiums, the angular, 270-foot-high glass and metal building was designed to promote openness and an outdoor feel, while also offering fans views of the city's downtown skyline.
The stadium was officially completed in June and will host the 2018 Super Bowl. Glass Magazine recently recognized the design as "2016 Most Innovative Curtain Wall Project."
