University of Chicago Medicine Center for Care & Discovery

Chicago, Illinois USA

Project Overview / Detail

The University of Chicago Medicine Center for Care and Discovery is a 10-story medical facility. The 1.2 million square foot facility is the largest building on campus. The Center for Care and Discovery provides world-class medical and surgical care. It has 436 beds, 52 intensive care beds and 9 suites for advanced imaging and interventional procedures. There are 23 operating rooms designed to accommodate hybrid and robotic procedures.

Reynobond® 4mm FR Composite Material was used in the design due to the durability they offer. The longevity of the panels means The Center for Care and Discovery will stand tall on campus for years to come.

Creative Panel fabricated and installed over 185,783 square feet of Reynobond® Composite Material. A dry-joint rain-screen composite panel system was used. High-performing coil coated Colorweld® 500XL Bright Silver Metallic provided the finish and the panels are painted gray, dark green and orange.
