† Section 1407 of the 2012 & 2015 (1406, of the 2018) International Building Code state that ASTM E84 and NFPA 285 testing should be performed on the thickest product intended for use. Tests performed on 6mm FR products validate both 6mm and 4mm FR panels, and tests of 4mm panels validate 3mm PE panels.
